Or as the weekend was more affectionately known by my friends: "Boston Pride where Gary is trashed by 3pm, puking by 4p and passed out by 5p."
Ah, yes... the joys of being debaucherous with Nasty Girls, LLC, and now Team Svedka. And what a debaucherous time it was. So much so that I embarrassingly became so intoxicated, I threw up at a restaurant (luckily made it to the bathroom, but not without my crew noticing WHY I was rushing there. LOL), saw friends that later I didn't remember seeing, and slept Saturday night away. So sad. I did get to see a bunch of old faces, and meet someone very VERY important to my dear Robert's heart. Jonah is quite the charmer. While I should hate him for trying to move Robbie out to Oregon, I just don't think I can. I think they're coming to visit me this weekend (I hope so!!) and I am looking forward to it.
I stayed with Jonathan for the weekend after my 825p flight was later delayed to 1230a, thus defeating the entire purpose of flying. When I got to J's place, we just crashed. Well, cuddled and crashed. For those of you who don't know, J is the guy I was crushing on as I was moving away from Boston right about this time last year. Talk about really poor timing in meeting someone really great. Anyway, it was so great to see him and be able to spend time with him again. While the energy was a bit awkward between us, it still made me really happy to be around him again.
Sunday... Oh My God! First off, it was gorgeous weather. I had a great brunch with Josh B. and he took me to where him and his bf are going to be moving to in Southie. Didn't get to go inside, but its a brand new place in a great location so I am very excited for them. I met Jonathan at Fritz for a drink and then we headed off to the Stuart Street Block Party where one of my best friends was opening for Tracy Young. Jason to me, but DJ JST to all of you, was FUCKING AMAZING! His set was great, he was having a ton of fun, and the crowd was definitely feeling his energy. I met Jason two years ago when he was just getting started in all of this and seeing him on stage Sunday bought tears to my eyes; he's definitely going somewhere fast and I am super-excited for him. His mom even came out and was dancing with all of his friends. I just can't describe in words the energy and emotion it gave me. Jason is another one that will keep me missing my days in Boston.
I was supposed to go home Sunday night on the bus, but was convinced to stay until Monday morning. So, this morning I hopped on a plane from BOS to JFK and was into work by 1115a. Barely late (ha! if you know me, you know 1030 is early for me. LOL!!) Tonight was posting pics and resting... much needed rest after 8 days of travel the first 12 days of June.
