It seems to me that ever so slowly (or quickly as it seems sometimes) that Apple and Google are taking over the world.
There has been the recent Google-YouTube merger, talk of Google entering radio, and all of Google's online products which now include photo management, word processing, and spreadsheet applications. Apple has led the industry in portable music devices, clearly holds the upper hand in online music AND movie sales, will be adding HDTV connectivity in early 2007, and now this...
In 2007, a number of US and International airlines have committed to providing in-seat iPod docking which will allow charging while also playing your videos on the in-seat monitor. CRAZINESS!! Although my two favorite airlines (American and JetBlue) are not listed, I would certainly hope this expands to other airlines as well.
And before you know it, I'll be mapping my destination in the air using Google Maps even before I land in a sunny and warm vacation spot.

Thx! :)
