OK first, "busyness" just does NOT look right. But I looked it up and apparently I spelled it correctly. I don't like the way it looks though. The "y" looks so out of place. Anyway, I digress...
My postings to the blog have become less and less regular. I am attributing this to being busy with I don't know what. Honestly, I feel like I am constantly running around, but I'm not sure what it is exactly that I'm doing.
Although this past weekend I was pretty busy... Friday night was a holiday party in Astoria. Saturday morning was brunch with Ben and Bradford on the UWS, and then a trek downtown to finish some xmas shopping where I bumped into Stephen and grabbed a cupcake at Billy's. Then back home to nap before meeting Nick (the last major ex) and a mutual friend out for drinks at Bar 89, which then migrated to Uncle Ming's, after which we found ourselves at g Lounge and then the New Venus Diner for breakfast at 330a on Sunday. Sunday was recovery and planning for the holiday week ahead. I'm headed back home on Friday the 22nd. But, I'll be back in the city on the 26th, only to get up very very early on the 27th to catch a flight to Mexico City.
Work has been relatively un-busy because of the holiday. Of course, there are still the random "OMG I NEED THIS RIGHT NOW" freak out moments, but much more manageable when you're only working on that one thing. Anyway, I don't normally talk about work specifics on here, but today's news was just crazy. We've been acquired in a $1.3 billion cash deal by a French marketing services holding company. Absolute CRAZINESS! I'm both excited and concerned about how this will net out, and so are quite a few other people in the company. We're having "town hall" meetings starting tomorrow so everyone can ask questions about what all of this will mean, specifically for their job.
Anyway, its getting late. I need to sleep and get into work for that meeting by 9am. HA! I've never been to work by 9a, but I'm still gonna try.
There'll be limited access starting Friday, but when I return from Mexico, I'm sure there will be plenty of pictures, videos, and stories. Happy Holidays to all!!
