Ciudad de Mexico - Los Piramides

HOLA from Mexico City (aka DF, Distrito Federal). I happen to have internet at this great little gay guesthouse in the Zona Rosa and so I thought I'd do a mini post and throw up a photo of all the greatness I've been having in the first two days of being here.

Here is a preview of photos to come. Yesterday we went to an ancient city. Here I am standing atop the Pyramid of the Moon with the Pyramid of the Sun behind me. These great structures and the surrounding city were built by the Teotihuacan a thousand-plus years ago and were taken over by the Aztecs. The picture doesn't really do this place any justice.

More to come!!

Merry Christmas

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL... and to all, here's a bit of Channing Tatum.

My sister received the "Step Up" DVD from my parents for Christmas. I had actually picked it up last week before heading home, as it just came out December 19. But, when I got home, my mother told me she picked it up too. So, I didn't mention that I bought it; I just put it back in my bag. I WAS going to return it, but after watching it tonight with my sister, I think I might just keep it for myself. LOL!

Anyway, Christmas has been great so far. I made my family open all of their gifts on Saturday so i would have time to set everything up. I bought them a TiVo and wireless network stuff so I needed time to teach them how to use everything before I left. I am leaving here tomorrow morning because I need to get back to NYC to unpack, repack, and head to Mexico City on Wednesday morning.

Hope everyone had a great holiday... more to come when I return from el Ciudad de Mexico.

Holiday Busyness

OK first, "busyness" just does NOT look right. But I looked it up and apparently I spelled it correctly. I don't like the way it looks though. The "y" looks so out of place. Anyway, I digress...

My postings to the blog have become less and less regular. I am attributing this to being busy with I don't know what. Honestly, I feel like I am constantly running around, but I'm not sure what it is exactly that I'm doing.

Although this past weekend I was pretty busy... Friday night was a holiday party in Astoria. Saturday morning was brunch with Ben and Bradford on the UWS, and then a trek downtown to finish some xmas shopping where I bumped into Stephen and grabbed a cupcake at Billy's. Then back home to nap before meeting Nick (the last major ex) and a mutual friend out for drinks at Bar 89, which then migrated to Uncle Ming's, after which we found ourselves at g Lounge and then the  New Venus Diner for breakfast at 330a on Sunday. Sunday was recovery and planning for the holiday week ahead. I'm headed back home on Friday the 22nd. But, I'll be back in the city on the 26th, only to get up very very early on the 27th to catch a flight to Mexico City.

Work has been relatively un-busy because of the holiday. Of course, there are still the random "OMG I NEED THIS RIGHT NOW" freak out moments, but much more manageable when you're only working on that one thing. Anyway, I don't normally talk about work specifics on here, but today's news was just crazy. We've been acquired in a $1.3 billion cash deal by a French marketing services holding company. Absolute CRAZINESS! I'm both excited and concerned about how this will net out, and so are quite a few other people in the company. We're having "town hall" meetings starting tomorrow so everyone can ask questions about what all of this will mean, specifically for their job.

Anyway, its getting late. I need to sleep and get into work for that meeting by 9am. HA! I've never been to work by 9a, but I'm still gonna try.

There'll be limited access starting Friday, but when I return from Mexico, I'm sure there will be plenty of pictures, videos, and stories.  Happy Holidays to all!!

SNL Holiday Favorite

I remember the first time I saw this skit... I completely lost it. Too funny. Takes a while to ramp up, but no doubt one of THE best ever SNL skits.
